Beginner's Guide to setting up a VPN on a Vigor2800? was created by nigelmercier
I want to be able to access my Vigor2800 network via the Internet. So far, I can't get it to do anything. Is there a Beginner's Guide to setting up a VPN on a Vigor2800?
[Edit] I'm using Windows 7 on the PC I want to connect from.

It is not the most secure, but start off with a Teleworker PPTP connection. Use as strong a password as you can. I think the DrayTek allows 16 characters.
You do not need SmartVPN to configure the PC. You can use windows own PPTP client.
Note if the teleworker is behind another router you can always have problems with VPN's and you may need to check if there is a VPN passthrough function on the router.
Long term IPSec is the most secure but the least friendly to set up.
