VNC with VPN on 2910 to 2820 was created by themonk
Hello, I have a VPN question that's got me baffled.

What I'm trying to do is to migrate the VPN connection from my laptop to a Vigor 2910VG, over the internet to a Vigor 2820. I've been using VNC Free at home to connect to my computer at work with the VPN running on my home computer without any problems so I know that the remote end (Vigor 2820) is configured correctly.

I've recently purchased a Vigor 2910 to handle the VPN, set it all up (PPTP) and all connects all fine; I can even get at the 2820 router config page and all looks well, except I cannot connect to my remote machine, or ping it or cannect via VNC; seems like something is blocking me getting past the remote router (2820).

I've tried setting up a lan-lan as well as a remote user, which is how I was connecting fine previously. I've changed the local (2910) router from the standard 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1 as this is what the remote end uses. The IP address of the machine I'm trying to connect to is 192.168.1.64 so it should use the VPN to connect.

Has anyone any thoughts as to why I cant get through the remote router?

Thanks,
Mike.
