Checking Open Ports on PPTP VPN was created by themonk
Hello,
How do I check what ports are open on a PPTP VPN or how can I open a port?
I've tried 'NAT - Open Ports - Edit Open Ports' on a 2910 but that didn't work and I'm not sure if this relates to the VPN as I don't get the option, only WAN1 or WAN2.
I've tried to turn off the firewall to see if that was blocking it but no joy there.

Thoughts?

If you are connected via VPN you are a member of local network, all porst are open if you dont have other firewall system after vpn router.

Or I dont understand what you want to do ...

I'm connected with PPTP from a 2910 to a 2820 as a Remote Dial-in user and just wanted to check what ports are open as I'm trying to get a particular piece of software to run which uses port 31234 TCP and UDP. If all ports are open then I don't need to do anything.
Thanks.
