Lan to Lan to Branch Office and VPN was created by danieln
Hello,

just wanted to see how everyone else sets this up but I have various VPNs to branch offices, often these are just a number of users working wired or wirelessly accessing files acorss the VPN.

At the moment I have all domain controllers, file servers at HQ which has a 2950 and the brach offices all have 2820's, I create a LAN to LAN VPN and all is fine but sometimes I get issues with mapping drivers and accessing exchange over the network.

I can get round this by setting the DNS servers under LAN > General Setup on the 2820's and setting the DNS as the remote DNS server at HQ and the the local one of the router however what I find is that if the VPN drops for any reason the users have no internet and caused major problmes.

I just wondered how everyone did this? Is setting static routes the best way forward?

Thanks in advance, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated! Any more info needed please let me know...
