VPN between 2820 and 2710 was created by robathome
Hi,
We have a 2820 and have 2 LAN to LAN VPNs - both dialing out to draytek 2600s OK

We now have a new 2710 that I am trying to link in. This only has dial out, so I have setup a dial in on the 2820. Nothing seems to get it to work - I have tried PPTP and IPSEC, and it just won't connect.

Any ideas if there is some problem with this combination?

many thanks
Rob

Can't really diagnose form the info you've given but there should be no problem between those two (they have the same code base and the same menus). PArticularly with PPTP it should 'just work'. Double-check you haven't done anything silly :-)

The telnet might give clues.

It was something silly. Needed to tick the box in remote access to allow VPNs - I thought that was for incoming only....
thanks
