Android v2 VPN was created by modainpelle
Hi

We have a couple of Android phones (v2 - has PPTP + L2TP support) and want to VPN into our Vigor 3300. I have tried everything and not managed to get it to connect properly (L2TP connects but drops, PPTP doesn't even connect).

Before I flood the thread with log events, I was wondering if anyone had managed to do this yet? If so how?

Cheers

After some digging - it seems the router is not answering port 1723 (PPTP). It's set up correctly, there's no port forwarding using the port. L2TP and IPSec both work fine.

I'm at a loss now as to where to look. Any ideas anyone? Could it be a fault with the router?

Cheers

Are you using the phone direct or a tethered laptop? I tried the latter and couldnt get it to work, though VPNing into a Windows VPN server behind a Cisco firewall worked fine...

Using the VPN from the phone direct seemed to work but I didnt try much beyond connecting.
