I've recently bought a Vigor 2820n router with a Vigor120 Modem to allow me to run 2 ISPs, one provided by work and one personally paid for.

I'm new to VPN, but in order to work from home on a temporary (sub-contracted) job I am required to connect on to a certain server via VPN (PPTP). I would like to do this from various work computers, only on WAN1, with other family machines also connecting on WAN1 not via the VPN. I work from various different work computers (Mac & PC), which I've created IP Objects for and put in an IP Group on the 2820.

I have been given a server address, user account and password and I'm wondering are there any security implications regarding access to my data for me configuring a VPN(PPTP)? I don't wish to accidentally share my local network information with my customer and would appreciate some recommended configuration settings for this. I have no idea what the router settings are the other end, and it would appear neither do they.
