I'm trying to get two 2820's to connect via an IPSEC tunnel and I have to say I've never been so frustrated.

We have two sites. The details are (IPs faked to protect the innocent);

SiteA
Lan: 192.168.0.0/24
Wan: 87.76.65.54

SiteB
Lan: 192.168.1.0/24
Wan: 98.87.76.65

I've set them up using Lan 2 Lan and enabled VPN logging. However all that gets shown in the syslogs for both routers is this;

Sep 8 16:34:57 Vigor: Cleint L2L remote network setting is 192.168.0.0/24
Sep 8 16:34:57 Vigor: Start IKE Quick Mode to 87.76.65.54
Sep 8 16:34:57 Vigor: Dialing Node1 (SiteB) : 87.76.65.54

Thats from one site. The other sites syslog shows the same but clearly the IPs and Tunnel names are different.

Other than that, nothing. Not a glimmer. no phase1 or phase2 warnings, no IKE connection notices, nothing.

Any ideas whats wrong? I've tried resetting both L2L connection entries back to default and then entering in the appropriate IP and shared key info. PPTP from a laptop to each device using the remote user feature works fine, but site to site via IPSEC just dont work.

What am I doing wrong?
