load balanced ipsec vpn? was created by jannerman
Have scoured the forum and can't see an answer to this, so that means either I'm being extremely thick or it's not possible?

I have a Vigor 2920, 2 x 120 modem and 2 x adsl lines;

What I'd like to do is load balance them at one site but create a single vpn tunnel back to our head office.

Thinking about this as I type if I were to create one per each connection, and therefore two back at HQ, would that not just be better all round? I assume the Router will take care of sending the packets up either VPN tunnel.

And then in that setup I'd have redundancy in the case of one of the links dropping?

So I guess my question is, do i need to bother with a) if the hardware can manage b)?!

cheers

Hi

i have a simular issue

My client had 2x 2920's and wanted to load balance/failover for the VPN

I also found the 120's but decided to put the question to pre tech support (free) and they said load balance/failover wasn't possible on the VPN

So would would have to create to lan-lan connections

I however have brought 2x 2930's which do offer this feature, although the user guide doesn't appear to mention how to set this up!

Hence why i'm here!

Hope this helps

David
