TCP/IP CP error 738. The server did not assign an address

I'm trying to connect teleworker to a 2820VN on a 2003 SBS domain. The SBS is set as the DNS controller but DHCP is from the Draytek.

The connection from the remote XP teleworker (standard XP VPN connection) connects & authenticates but then stops with an error:

Checking network protocol connections...
TCP/IP CP reported error 738. The server did not assign an address.

This error seems to indicate that the DHCP could not assign an IP address to the client. The client's firewall is off and it's local IP address is in a different subnet to that of the Draytek.

Connection used to work fine with an older 2600 but I think I must have missed something.

Please can anyone help.

Did a bit of delving & found that someone had changed the IP address of the Draytek to be higher than the DHCP pool range.

Change IP & all is ok - so far.............
