I have a few vigor2800's and all has worked well.

One is now acting very spasmodically (4yr old) giving some odd errors. This particular one has been installed in a loft, so I guess it is not surprising it has failed.

I am considering replacing this one with a 2710n. I have never used one of these, but it does say it has VPN.

I assume I can set up a LAN to LAN VPN to one other 2800?

IPsec 3DES on static IP should work ok.
