L2TP VPN from iPhone into Draytek 2820 was created by screamingpict
Hi,
I have something I've been scratching my head over for a while.
I have set my Draytek 2820 up for VPN access.
I set up a remote user with a username and password.
I set up the IKE shared key for IPSec.
I have successfully got my Mac to connect in using L2TP over IPSec.
However my iPhone steadfastly refuses to connect using L2TP. It will happily do PPTP (urgh).
Has anyone got their iPhone working with L2TP?
P.S. One other thing I did have to do was enable a WAN-LAN firewall rule allowing traffic from my subnet which seems daft, but it was the only way that the VPN would work (it seems to see the VPN traffic as on the WAN side).

You, sir, are a legend. Firmware updated to 3.3.5, L2TP working and have had a close look at this iPhone utility that lets you use your iPhone as the 3G connection through the router. Spanky!
Also had a look at this mOTP (One Time Password) utility, but I'm happy with L2TP for now tbh.

Can I ask if you could advise of the Router and MAC config you used to get this part working?
Regards,
Mike
