Allow visitors to oubound vpn was created by ericl
We have a Vigor 2820 setup on our corporate network as firewall/router.

Incoming VPN connections are fine.

I would like to allow visitors outbound vpn. Is this just a matter of opening port 1723 or is it more complicated? I do not want to disrupt the incoming vpn settings.

I have had a look at the vpn passthrough document but as we dont have a vpn server not sure what I would need to do.

Thanks in advance

We had this problem. Contacted dtek support in the end and they said this:

To allow Dial-out IPSec VPN, you need to run a command on the Vigor2820. Telnet to it and run a command as follows:

>srv nat ipsecpass on

This would allow the VPN client behind the Vigor2820n to connect to
the remote VPN server.

Isn't TCP 1723 PPTP?

I have the same issue.

We used to be able to PPTP outbound VPN but since a firmware upgrade to 3.3.4.1_232201 on our 2820n we have been unable to connect.

I have tried with both VPN turned on and off on the router and the suggested srv nat ipsecpass on but i still cant get it to connect.

Any ideas???
