My ability to VPN into my work Draytek 2820 dissapeared when O2 upgraded the firmware on my home router.

This has now started affecting other colleagues with different ISPs (probably with the same rubbish home router!)

I believe the issue only affects PPTP VPN as another vpn I have tried works without issue.

How do I configure the Draytek 2820 to use an alternative to PPTP? If this is possible and I do this, could it break an existing LAN to LAN setup that exists?

Can you confirm what firmware you are running on the 2820?

I'm investigating a similar problem on 2820's but I think its only affecting those routers running Firmware 3.3.4.1

Here it looks like GRE is broken.

Would a newer firmware version help?
