2080vn VPN failure after switch on / off

2080vn VPN failure after switch on / off was created by kez
I set-up the VPN using L2TP ( similar name anyway ) and anter a few router switch on / off overnight first thing in the morning the VPN failed.
Should I expect better ?
Is this £190 router really so lacking in power on / off resiliance or should we simply leave it on all the time.

Any recommendations appreciated.
