Remote dial-in user and VPN was created by krikey
Hi I have a 2820 and have configured it to allow 3 or 4 remote connections for teleworkers to "dial in". This seems to be working insofar as the teleworkers can see the shares and the network here in the office. Great so far.

However there are shares on these remote machines that the office network and PC connected directly to it also has to see but simply cannot.

The remote PCs are running Windows 7.

If I turn off the public firewall on the remote windows 7 PCs, their shares are visible and I can also ping the allocated IP address.

What settings do I need to change so that I simply don't turn off the firewall on the remote PCs but can see the remote shares on the office network?

Turn off the Firewall for the VPN connection in the properties of this connection.

btw.: I think it does not make much sense to offer fileshreing via a teleworker connection. Better use a Lan2Lan connection.
