Vigor 2710n to Vigor 2820Vn was created by mwalsh
Hi,

I'm trying to set-up a VPN connection from a Vigor 2710n to a Vigor 2820Vn.

I've been able to get an IPSEC tunnel established when the 2710n was on a static IP.

I've also been able to get an PPTP VPN working with the 2710n on a dynamic IP.

But I can't seem to get an IPSEC tunnel working from the 2710n on a dynamic IP to the 2820Vn.

I've tried using aggressive mode but still no difference.

Perhaps this just isn't possible?

Any ideas gratefully received.

Aggressive mode is what you'll need to use if you've got one or both of those routers on dynamic IPs, are you following this guide?

I can't thank you enough! That worked first time.

I did look at that guide but it wasn't obvious it was for a fixed IP to dynamic IP connection as both have IPs in the diagram at the top so gave me the impression they were both fixed.
