Vigor 2830 VPN confusion was created by elmuerko
I recently purchased a Vigor 2830 in order to connect several devices to a VPN.

Following the wizard I created a PPTP Lan to Lan connection.

I've dialed the connection and it's showing as connected in Connection Management.

However none of my network traffic appears to be going via the VPN.

How can I get devices on my network to use the VPN?

Hiya, although you don't really give much detail away in your question, if there is more than one way off your network (2830 providing VPN routes and something else) - you would need to make sure: -

1. The other devices either have static routes pointing to your 2830 vpn router for those specific destinations on the other side of th vpn.
2. Or the other deices use the 2830 as their defualt gateway.
3. and/or the 2830 is setup correctly to determine what 'interesting traffic' is that should go down the vpn.

Without further detail it's hard to say really and don't want to come across trying to tell granny how to suck eggs. With some more detail, we maybe able to help more or understand your setup and what you want to achieve.

The 2830 is our ADSL modem and wireless router.

We also have a TP-Link Wireless Hub connected to the router by a network cable which runs a second wireless network for the other end of the house, the plasterboard has wire mesh in it which plays havoc with the wireless connections in the house.

In a dream world any and all traffic from the Wireless Hub would go via the VPN while anything from the 2830 would go via the normal internet connection.

If we cannot do that, then we'd like everything to go via the VPN.
