SSL adapter connection issue was created by garywebster
Hi

Hi hope someone can help me with this. We have a draytek 2950. I recently upgraded the firmware to v3.3.0

I have an issue with one laptop running Windows XP SP3. When you connect to the tunnel running as activeX the draytekSSL tunnel client starts but then an error pops up "can't find Draytek Virtual PPP adapter" I have tried deleting the drayssltunnel.exe client and connecting again. This installs the .cab file but when the client starts the error is still there.

I can connect to the SSL vpn using the same setup on my own PC and the client runs successfully. How do i re-install the virtual PPP adapter on the problem PC?

thanks

Gary

Try installing Smart VPN client and see if that helps, that should add the same driver.

Thanks, I got it working though. probably my ignorance but found the device PPP adapter in control panel, system, hardware, device manager under network adapters. It seems the driver had somehow corrupted so updating the driver here sorted the problem.
