DHCP Relay not working on 2830 was created by slipfriction
I've tried everything to get the 2830 to relay DHCP over VPN. It works fine on the 2820's which I have installed at 8 other sites and I've hit a brick wall with these 2830's. I've been in touch with Draytek and they logged into one of them remotely - no joy. I've played with different types of VPN connection types, no joy. I've used wireshark on both sites to sniff the packets to see whats going on when a DHCP request gets sent. The DHCP discover packet gets sent over vpn to the server and in turn replies with an ACK packet. The remote side then sends back a DHCP request packet and the server replies with a DHCP OFFER packet. The offer packet doesnt appear on the remote network.
A guy from draytek asked me to upgrade the firmware to a beta he sent and it doesn't fix the problem. I tried a 2820 on the same site and the relay works. I have 4 of these drayteks and my Wyse terminals rely on the advanced dhcp options to operate correctly, static IP's are not an option in my case.
Can someone please help!?
