Hi,
I ave a 2820 running PPTP vpn wich i can connect into no problem from my win 7 machine, I can connect with any of the set up user/passwords.
on every XP machine it hangs on the verifying username password and eventually drops out with the error 718

does anyone have any idea why this would be happening? it was working on the xp machine but with no connectivity because of a server side firewall rule.

any help would be appreciated

I recall there's a bug in XP which was fixed via SP3 which allowed this to work.

Also, 1 . have you done a windows update [rhetorical] and are u using the latest firmware on your vigor?
