Hi,

We have two remote offices connecting to a third via PPTP/MPPE VPN. The two remote offices use 2830n and the head office uses 2830.
One of the offices VPN stops working about once a day but still shows as connected in the Connection Management and needs to be dropped and reconnected for it to start working again.
The one that has the problem is on the latest firmware (3.3.7.1_sb_232201) and uses an ADSL2+ AnnexM connection, the site whos' VPN is stable is on an older firmware (3.3.6.1_232201) and uses FTTC. the head office is on firmware (3.3.6_232201) and uses a 10MB Ethernet connection.

We do not want to update the other sites firmware at the moment and risk those VPN's breaking periodically too.

Hope someone may be able to shed some light on this problem.

Ian

I am sure that Support are aware of VPN issues and if you contact them there is a beta avaiable which improves things.

In general I think IPSec Tunnels would be preferable. Regards, Neal
