DHCP / DNS over VPN was created by stevekaye
I have set up a PPTP Remote Dial-in User on my Vigor 2850n Router and it connects correctly and allocates an IP address but it doesn't push the custom DNS server IP address to the remote connection. These are set up in the LAN 1 DHCP Server Configuration but it just pushes the default IP addresses from my ISP.

I can ping the DNS server remotely by IP address and I can ping it by its Windows name but I cannot ping it by its DNS name.

Is there any way that I can change the settings so that remote dial in users get our custom DNS servers?

Thanks

I managed to fix this by ticking the box labelled "Force router to use address for DNS".
