Lan2Lan Session Limit? was created by dharradine
Hi People,
I have 2 sites, head office and remote branch linked by VPN (IPsec 3DES-SHA1). Routers are both 2820n with firmware version 3.3.7.3.
The connection seems stable, currently connected for 74 days.
There are 4 PCs at the remote branch that access a server application at head office through the vpn. Previously this was a telet type of access to the unix server and in this configuration everything was solid.
The application at head office was changed to a web app, accessed by web browser from the remote branch. The web app is http not https if that helps.
About twice a day now, the remote branch users simultaniously get the draytek sessions limit message in their web browsers as if the bandwidth management / sessions limit was enabled. I've checked both ends and it's disabled and has never been enabled. I've monitored the remote branch using the data flow monitor looking for high session counts and the highest I saw was a couple of hundred sessions per PC but the majority of the time it wa less than 20 sessions per PC.
They have been using this version of firmware for a month now but it was happenning on the previous version too (sorry, can't remember that version number), which prompted me to perform the firmware update. That update was done using the RST file to reset and configuration re-entered in from scratch, not from backup file.
Is there a session limit through the vpn tunnel? or do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks for your time in advance guys
Duncan
