I've been using my Vigor2830 for a year in my office. I could connect to the office via VPN using the VPN client built into Windows. But last week it randomly stopped working. It connects successfully and Windows Network and Sharing centre says it's connected but I cannot see anything on my office network.

The problem has occurred on both my laptop and home computer. First it happened on the workstation and later on the laptop. It may have happened after a Windows update.

I can still connect from a Windows 7 virtual machine on my workstation. I've compared the settings between the successful Windows 7 connection and the unsuccessful Windows 8 connection and they are identical.

I've tried deleting the VPN connection and then reconfiguring it.
I tried using the Draytek VPN client. It also connects but I cannot see my network.

I have the following router settings:
PPTP enabled (IPSec and L2TP are not enabled)
Dial-in PPP auth: PAP or CHAP
Dial in PPP encryption: Optional MPPE
Mutual authentification (PAP): NO

I know this is obvious but have you rebooted the router?
I find 99.9% of my VPN issues are fixed with a reboot.

Sorry it's obvious but as no one else had replied.

Just tried that but no luck :/ Oh, also, I have two Draytek routers, the other is at my parents house. And the same problem has occurred on both.
