Setting remote access DNS server was created by gordoncopestake
Hi All,
I have a number of remote access users setup to dial in via PPTP VPN on a Vigor 2920 (v3.6.1)

This works fine and the VPN connects but the clients cannot resolve internal DNS names from the local LAN. External DNS works fine (google etc)

I am not using the vigor as a DHCP server but an internal windows server handles DHCP (and DNS) on the LAN.

I have this server set to be the DNS server in the vigor LAN configuration but for VPN clients this configuration is not passed on.

How do I set the DNS server on the VPN clients?

Thanks in advance

Gordon

Found the answer, had to check the box
"Force router to use "DNS server IP address" settings specified in LAN1"

The specified DNS servers are then given to the VPN clients (rather than the ISP's DNS servers which can't resolve internal names)
