Users can't connect using local VPN client software was created by markcub
Hi guys,
I am not certain this is the correct forum for asking this question, as although this is a VPN question, it isn't about my Vigor 2110n 's own VPN facilities.
Ever since I upgraded to the latest firmware (3.6.3 ), internal computers have not been able to use the Microsoft PPTP VPN client to connect to our head office. It gets stuck at the authentication point.
I have been able to establish the connection using router's own VPN client (site-to-site), so I know it isn't an external WAN issue.
Why on Earth have my clients stopped being able to connect when I upgraded the firmware? If anyone could shine any light on the matter it would be so much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Mark.

try disabling the firewall to see if that helps? It's possible the way the router does VPN / firewall has changed going to 3.6.3

I finally took the plunge and reset the router to factory settings, and reconfigured it.
It now all works as expected. Something must have got stuck before.
Cheers,
Mark.
