Vigor 2830 - Internal VPN Connectivity was created by a18041967
My network configuration has changed and I've moved from ADSL to cable with all internet traffic using the cable modem, I'm still using my Vigor 2830 for DHCP and would also like to use the VPN functionality as the cable modem does not have this functionality. My network is configured as follows:

Internet ----> Cable Modem (192.168.1.9) ----> Vigor 2860 (192.168.1.1)

What I've done so far is enable port forwarding, forwarding port 1723 from 192.168.1.9 to 192.168.1.1, I believe the Vigor is correctly configured for VPN (PPTP) access but this is not working.

So my question, is it possible to configure a VPN as above, the clients are iPhone & iPad's these I know used to work with with Microsoft VPN server software, external DNS resolves correctly. The clients attempt to connect but I'm not seeing any of the authenticating connecting message on the devices.

The network configuration was all a little rushed due to a server failure and having to re enable the services quickly, once I've resolved the VPN issues the network will be split into two, 10.0.0.x external network(Cable) & 192.168.1.x internal network with the Vigor providing all the core internal network services.

Any advice or pointers to documentation would greatly be appreciated.
