VPN setup with Vigor2830n was created by philguk
I have a Draytek Vigor2830n as my broadband router

It would be incredibly helpful, when I am travelling, to be able to access my internal LAN as if I were still at home

I'm sure this must be possible using the VPN facilities of the Vigor2830n

BUT, I have NO IDEA how to configure VPN to do this

At the remote end would be Windows 7

Can someone point me to a step by step set of instructions for configuring both ends of the tunnel??

Thanks

Phil G

I did ask this question before http://forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18560

But when I try and connect I get repeated "connecting" and "verifying userid and password" and the connection never completes

If I deliberately give the wrong password, I get the same messages - NOT a message saying the password is invalid

Well, I found THIS

http://www.draytek.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=2771&Itemid=293&lang=en

Which does exactly what I needed AND it works :)

I'll leave this here for anyone else to find

PS One thing I wasn't prepared for is the response I'm getting. Obviously I'm constrained by my ADSL upstream speed, which is only 448kbps - but that has a huge impact to getting data FROM my home lan :(
