lan to lan between two 2830's was created by mugen
Hi..
I have a site with two internet connections.
The “main connection†is used to general internet access and all other things.
Router internal ip is 192.168.1.1 this is a draytek router
At same site there is a second draytek which has fixed IP and we were going to use for incoming VPN access.
In remote worker mode this works fine. VPN users terminate to second draytek and can browse the network.
However in lan to lan mode (the remote site has a draytek too) I can ping from the router using diagnostics ping, however cannot do like wise from an attached client.
Second router has DHCP switched off, DHCP in main site handled by Windows server and remote site DHCP handled by draytek router (2830)
Any advice on getting lan to lan to work

wow..
This may not be helpful but I have almost the same situation.
I'm using IPsec since PPP is needed for Windows client VPN
Site A - 2800n Router 192.168.1.1
Site B - 2860n Router 192.168.2.250
I can connect and ping from router to router using diagnostics but I can't ping anything connected at either end.
I called premium support but after checking my firmware versions suggested I delete and recreate both profiles.
That didn't work.
Anyone know what problem is?

If you can't ping the remote LAN then it's likely to be a routing issue. Have you checked to see if the routing table is updated?
Make sure when you set up the LAN-LAN profile that you set the LAN IP addresses like this:
192.168.1.0
192.168.2.0
Another thing to check is that the method (at the bottom of the profile configuration page) is route and NOT NAT.

Hi
Thanks for the info.
Yes the Network is set to 192.168.1.0 & 192.168.0
On the 2860 (192.168.2.250) which is the Dial-In... there is a "Route" option and is set to Route
Rip Direction is Disabled
On the 2800 - set to Private IP and Rip direction is set to TX/RX Both
I guess Rip should be disabled and Private is the correct setting?
