Hi all,

Hope someone can help... I'm having no joy getting an Avaya 2908 phone to establish a VPN with my 2920n, using the phone's built-in VPN client (IPSec).
Has anyone done this?

I won't go into super detail right now (that can follow if anyone's done it) but it's failing during IKE Phase 1 (phone reports "no response"). I can see on the Draytek that it is responding to the phone.

There's one setting on the phone that I really don't know what to set to - 'IKE ID'. I've tried all kinds but the result is the same. I have a feeling IKE ID is important but I don't know what it needs to be as there's nothing related to that on the Draytek end.

I have 'Remote Dial-in Users' set up in the Draytek just for the phones ... just like I have for the remote PC folks who run Windows 7 (they connect fine, it's just the phones that won't).

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks, Elliot.

Still struggling.. I have a WAN trace from the 2920n which shows what's happening when the phone tries to establish the VPN. I've truncated the capture as it repeats itself about 5 times before ending the attempt.

Any clues here? :?
