I have a requirement to establish a Lan to Lan IPSec VPN connection between a Vigor 2930 and a third party operated Fortigate 500D VPN gateway. The Vigor is acting as the VPN client. The third party have a strict requirement that no RFC1918 local IP addresses can be used over the tunnel. I have therefore had to use the Vigor2930 WAN IP address as the "Local Network IP" within the Lan to Lan profile. I have been able to establish the tunnel without any problems however traffic from the local network destined for the remote network is not going over the VPN.

I can access the remote network using the Ping Tool on the Vigor router but not from the local network.

Is this type of configuration possible with Vigor and if so any ideas of what I need to do to get it working.
