I have a number of IPSEC Lan to Lan VPNs to my Cloud provider who uses a CISCO ASA router/firewall. The VPNs using a 2820 Draytek router both work fine. However when we set up a VPN from a 2830vn router the VPN connects no problem and will allow small amounts of data but hangs when more data is sent/received. For example, if I log on to the Linux cloud server via the VPN with an SSH session and do a simple "ps" I get the correct response back, which is just a couple of lines. I can repeat this and it always works. However, if I do a "ps -ef" which generates much more data the display stops after a random number of lines (10-30) and the SSH connection hangs. The VPN does not drop and if I terminate the SSH session and re-connect the above can be repeated.
The VPN is up all the time and if I disconnect it I see it re-establish itself via SYSLOG no problem.
I have been chasing this for weeks now and my cloud supplier says there are "known issues" with CISCO to DRAYTEK routers.
Can anybody shed any light on this please?
