They wouldn't believe me and wanted step by step screen shots, to be honest I couldn't be bothered.

Well I guess you could report it with the various screen shots.
I am hopeful that they do actually know about it (how can they not) and are fixing it for the next release.

You mean, most likely, that they couldn't reproduce it, so there is a specific configuration in your instance that make it happen which doesn't happen otherwise
so asking for your steps is quite reasonable... If you couldn't be bothered, I'm guessing it's not that important

Well of course that's a possibility but I am a simple home user with very little additional configuration, so I think the risk of it being correct is extremely low.

There are lots of factors that may be different in your environment even if they are outside of your control, really.
