Reboots when using LAN-to-LAN (2860) was created by burnes82
Hi all,

I have been searching the Internet for an answer to this and couldn't find anything that answered my issue. I am experiencing an issue when my LAN-to-LAN connection is in use (PPTP). My 2860 is rebooting every 5-10 mins.

I have tried disabling hardware acceleration, WiFi and IPv6. None of these have helped.

Here's an overview of my setup:
- VPN Profile 1 - My PPTP LAN-to-LAN profile which connects fine and traffic is flowing
- Route Policy 1 - Sets all traffic from 10.10.10.97-10.10.10.128 to flow through the VPN with no failover

Here's the output from sys ver dbg.

Code:

From this, I'm suspecting that it's something to do with the Routing Policy? Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Might be an obvious question, but does it occur if you don't use route policy OR if the VPN is diabled ?

If I disable the VPN or Route Policy, the issue goes away. So, yes more indication that the issue is related to the VPN/Policy.

Either... well, that is useful, but you'll need the support people to decypher the logs...so send that with your findings.

If I don't have the Policy enabled then nothing is going to flow through the VPN. If I disconnect the VPN then the policy will drop the traffic. So either way the problem 'disappears' but that doesn't really help.

Fair point... although that means that data flowing causes the problem as opposed to the rule just existing, right? i.e. Does it occur if you don't actually send data, or the type of data, e.g. simple pings vs. watching Netflix ?
