Na, they havn't asked for it.
i can replicate it on 10 different sites, so its definitely the firmware. roll it back and it works fine.

We have exactly the same problem. Upgraded firmware and VPN fails.
It will work with the server in DMZ, so I guess something in the firewall is broken.
I've even tried specific rules to allow GRE and Ports, but nothing works.
Will wait and see, but right now it's pretty disappointing that this got released.

I'm having the same problem with OpenVPN to a VPN box on the LAN side, looks to be the basic UDP port forwarding which is failing in my case as I don't see any traffic arriving on the LAN at all. Worked fine on previous version.

That's a different protocol though, do you know which ports the OpenVPN setup is using? I recommend contacting support about that because it could be a separate issue and any firmware that fixes the PPTP pass-through problem might not fix yours.

Hi - we've hit this problem as well - new 2860, straight to new 3.8.4 - no PPTP passthrough. This is the first 2860 we've used so wasted a couple of hours so far fiddling with GRE etc. Any news on the Beat f/w?
