How can I access an SSL VPN hosted by a Draytek router, from Linux (specifically Ubuntu and Raspbian)?

The website has clients for Windows, Mac, Android, IOS but not Linux. However, I (naively?) assume that the client download is just a configuration tool for standard protocols that I should be able to configure on Linux too. But I haven't found anything helpful from a Google search.
