Hi,
Are there any reports of the DHCP server for some reason not sending out an IP address after a period of time ? - as I have noticed when I switch on wireless (via front switch - as my 2820 can be on most of the time), but when the laptop/iPhone join's it doesn't get an IP address but 169.254. address.

How switch the 2820 off & on, will resolve the situation ? (firmware is from April timeframe - not sure of version)

Thanks
Mark.

There was a problem earlier this year with wireless and dhcp which has now been resolved. Update to the latest firmware but make sure you read the forums first to see what bugs people are reporting to make sure they aren't going to affect you. I am using version 3.3.3_RC5b and have found it to be very stable but others are finding the opposite.

FWIW, if you use DtDNS instead of DynDNS you do not keep having to log into your account to keep it current. It is very useful if you are on VM cable service where your IP rarely ever changes.

2900Gi/v2.5.6; 2900/v2.5.6

Thanks for the tip but haven't a clue what the relevance is to this subject.
