Draytek 2800G - Not transmitting??? was created by keeleysgal
Hi all,
I'm a complete technophobe and have a one man bander as my ISP who never returns our calls or txts - can anyone help me??
We've been trying for months now to get the WLAN up and running but no luck. Our unit wasn't showing any wireless features and was therefore sent back. Since its return we can see the wireless features but nothing is picking up a wireless signal.
The ISP says that its not transmitting and needs to be sent back again... any other ideas as this will obviously leave me with no internet for weeks again???
Thanks all

You should probably get it checked out under warranty again if it's still in that, even if its not maybe they'd be willing to help as it wasn't working right after repaired the first time?
Easiest way to check if the wireless works or not is to check for other access points under the Station List menu in the wireless lan setup, you might need to change the channel a few times but if it picks anything up then the wireless is indeed working and it might be down to the channel settings used.
Channels 12-13 are often not seen by computers that arent configured for the UK properly, 1-11 are always best to use.

Hi Voodle,
Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I have now tried all Channels available and not even soi much of a sniff of wi-fi!!
I think I may have to resort to sending my Router back to Draytek yet again!!
Thanks anyway:o )

Hi keeleysgal
Not a dissimilar problem to me.
I have a vigor2710Nv but can't get the WLAN to work. ( wireless activity )
Two laptops the girls use upstairs and I would like my router to tell me if and when they are on-line.
Should I be setting something up ticking boxes and such, if so how! tried all wireless channels, no good.
Hope someone can guide me.

Are they connected using the wireless on the router? You can check who is connected to the router from the Station List under the Wireless LAN menu or under the Diagnostics menu, the ARP cache table.

Hi
Can't see anything on Wireless lan Station List
Status Codes :
C: Connected, No encryption.
E: Connected, WEP.
P: Connected, WPA.
A: Connected, WPA2.
B: Blocked by Access Control.
N: Connecting.
F: Fail to pass WPA/PSK authentication.
But I can see who is on in the Diagnostics menu, the ARP cache table
Me and Two laptops.
I am on mixed(wpa+wpa2)psk
Hope this helps
