Isolate LAN on newer firmware? was created by chris lalande
Hi i have a client that i bought a 2820n that is running on firmware version 3.3.2.2_232201.
I need to isolate Wireless from the Wired LAN. I know on older firmware this could be done by ticking the isolate LAN box in the General Set up. My question is has this option been removed from the newer versions or moved else where?
Thanks for the help in advance

Have a look in the 'VLAN' section of GUI, as this option has now moved to there , I think the previous firmware implementation was VLAN but this makes it more tidy
And I hope better VLAN support is coming down the line

I'm also trying to achieve the same outcome (firmware 3.3.4_232201) but in the menu LAN-> VLAN configuration there is not option to Isolate the Wired LAN.
Any help gratefully received.

it's not a single tickbox, what you need to do is put the LAN ports in one VLAN then the SSIDs in another VLAN

Superb, thanks from a very happy novice.
Just so I'm reassured I aim to make SSID 2 available to neighbours to share my broadband connection. Having done what you've suggested is there anything else I should do to 'lockdown' my home network (a NAS, Media Server, and several wired pc's)
