File and folder sharing was created by eddyad
I've spent an entire afternoon trying to share folders on a Windows 7 PC (wired LAN connection to 2710) wirelessly with a Windows XP laptop. Internet access on the laptop is fine.
The folders are shown as Shared on the W7 machine and I've followed all the guidance I can find. Both computers have the same Workgroup name. The latest thing I tried was to enable someting called Teredo.
But I still get the message "The folder you entered seems to be invalid. Please enter another" when I try to add a shared folder to My Network Places on the laptop. I know the folder ID is correct (\\computername\ folder copied from the share setup).

Do I have to do anything to the router setup to enable file sharing? There is nothing in the Draytek manual and I'm baffled.

Many thanks for help

I hadn't realized I had to enable file sharing on the laptop as well as setting shared files on the desktop.
