Hi,

Just purchased the Vigor 2820 wireless version, this was to replace a ZyXel we had.

Both notebooks have the Intel 5300 cards and when we were connecting to the Zyxel we were generally between 270 - 300mbps.

Using the 2820 the max we now see is 130. Have made sure the latest firmware is on the Vigor.

Can anyone offer any reason why the Vigor wont do 300 on the N network ??

Thanks

G

Mine works fine with an intell 6200. I think you can only get the high speeds if you use WPA2/PSK. I also have tx burst, greenfield, and 20/40 channel bandwidth selected. You also need to pick your channel carefully to avoid conflicts with other nearby stations. With 40 bandwidth selected that really means 1, 6 or 13 are the only ones you can use.

I have an intel 6300 and that also works at 300Mbps. I do remember though when I first connected it up it only connected at 130Mbps. I had to tweak the driver in device manager to get it to work at full speed.
