I am trying to set up a AP800 as a repeater. I have configured the SSID's as the same as my 2820vn and set up all the security and passwords as identical and the channel as chanel 6 on both. I can ping the AP800 for my laptop and my PC but I cannot connect to the internet through the AP800 - if I connect to it wirelessly it does not assign an IP address to my laptop. Why are there no simple set up instructions with this kit?

The only way I can get an IP address from the DHCP server is by disabling all encyption and having an open network. WPA or WPA2 both stop all connection to the internet and block IP address release. Looks like I will have to keep my network unprotected.
You would think two draytek devices would be able to communicate together but it appears not. Coupled with a pretty useless manual, I am not very impressed.
