ipad and iphone was created by trolleybus
In the office we have a 2820vn and at home a Belkin N+ Wireless Modem router [http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/pm00781ea-usermanual_uk.pdf]. As much as swe would like to have advanced security it has been found that connectivity for ipad and iPhone devices appears to work best or only with WEP.

The main issue we are having is connection and stability of the connection once / if obtained in the office whereas when I walk indoors at home the ipad and iphone automatically join the network but at work it takes five or six attempts to manually connect if I am lucky!

The difference between the two locations is that there is just one 1pad and iphone at home whereas at work there are two further ipads and a iPhone wanting to connect to the Draytek unit. As an experiment we have even given each iPhone/ipad its own SSID but stability of the connection remains very flaky.

A quick solution would be to simply bin the Draytek router and standardising on Belkin units at home and at work excepting that the Draytek unit is a better choice in the office because of the supplementary features that are available, and used, which are not found in the Belkin unit.

Effectively it would be nice if someone could provide screen dumps of the settings to be used in the Draytek / IPhone / Ipad that would give a stable reliable connection in the office or otherwise advice of how this could be achieved. For those that wish to know, the setting and configuration details of the Draytek unit is shown below.
Model Name : Vigor2820Vn
Firmware Version : 3.3.3_232201
Build Date/Time : Oct 23 2009 15:23:15

Wireless LAN
Frequency Domain : Europe
Firmware Version : 1.8.1.0
Mode: Mixed (11b+11g+11n)

Security Mode: WEP
Encryption Mode: 64-Bit

With many thanks in advance for any assistance and advice offered.

David

I really do object to part of my message being censored when all I was trying to do was to correctly identify the router being used that exhibited none of the problems being experienced with a Draytek router.

Perhaps the moderators could explain the policy in regard to this matter.

It's probably because there's been a bit of a problem here with bots making accounts and spamming a few posts to their various spam pages, notice it was just the www part that got censored and not the company name?

If you look around the forums there's a few posts that were rather confusingly bumping up 2 year old threads.

Exactly that; it's automatic and comes from a period from when there were a lot of spamming bots posting porn, virus and pirate URLs. It's not intended to block legitimate comment, that's just a side effect...

At home I have a V2820Vn too with an Ipad and iphone, and a laptop and a print all on Wireless. I'm using WPA2 on all of them

Gosh that's good to here. Any chance we could have a chat on the telephone to help me replicate your success? I've got a web site at www trolleybus net where all my contact details can be found.
