So, to summarize, there's 2 problems here: -

  2. The Vigor says its in Taiwan even when it's not - Draytek buck your ideas up, if you can't send out the right region code then don't send one at all.

  4. MAC OSX is really not very discerning about where it gets its region code from, if your neighbour's router says it's on the moon it says "OK" - Apple, really? Could do better considering the amount people pay to get a MAC - loads of people must be affected by this

Bump on this. Nomatter what I do, my 2920n broadcasts Taiwan as the country code.

I'd report it to Support then to see if it can be changed, although the V2820n is a discontinued model so there may not be enhancements/upgrades planned.

It's the same on my 2920n, which is a new model IIRC.

I've just installed version 3.3.7.3_232201 on my 2820Vn and I *think* this problem is resolved. My MacBook Air running OS X 10.8.2 (mountain lion) now reports 802.11d country code "GB".
