Guest networking was created by chasw
There seem to be many people on the internet with this problem, but so far I have not found any solutions!

I have a Vigor AP 800 connected to a BT homehub 3 modem (with wireless disabled). In addition to full network access, I want also to allow internet access only to "guests", with my ethernet connected PC and NAS drive inaccessible. I can easily set up a new guest SSID, but if I put this on LAN-B, I cannot see the BT homehub modem, and hence cannot see the internet. Similarly, if I put the guest SSID on LAN-A, and disable access to ethernet wired PCs, again I am unable to see the modem.

Another option might be to enable the homehub wireless, but I can't see how to make this "internet only" access.

Any help would be gratefully received!

I think you will find that unless you have a VLAN aware router the LAN B is for use when you have to separate networks - ie 2 different gateways.

Does the hone hub supports 802.1dq VLAN tags?
If it does disable 2nd subnet feature on the AP800 and use the tags.

The BT homehub does not appear to support VLAN tagging unfortunately.

Looks like I am stuck!

Thank you for your help.
