Vigor 2850n Wireless speed was created by musicalchris
Hi, i have a 2850n connected to BT infinity, if i connect to draytek as wired connection i get 58mb down and 18mb up which is correct, if i do a speed test from any wireless device that is connected to iphone, laptop etc, i only get 16mb down but still 18mb up. have set the connection speed to mixed so b,g and n and the security and mixed WPA/WPA2, PSK
Any reasons why it is a lot slower on wireless than on wired?
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers
Chris

if all your devices support the latest speeds then Id just for for N or g&N and not mixed mode. 802.11B support upto about 11mn and G is "upto" 54,b
You may want to play with your setting a bit but you will find the more you narrow it down the fast it will get.
All scan for other APs and make sure you have a 4 channel gap between other access points that are in range

Hi, thanks for the reply, will try and change the settings and see what difference it makes, am sure it is the mixed mode part from reading around about it.
Thanks again
