I am on PlusNet 40mb/s fibre and get about 38/39 mb/s if I connect to the router by cable and run a speed test. The best I can get on wifi is 23mb/s. This is always the same on 2 PCs, Android an Apple devices when done right next to the router. I have experimented with different channels and various settings in the Wireless LAN / Advanced settings such as the 20 & 20/40 channel bandwidth and others but it makes no difference.

Is there something else I should be looking at?

Have you tried change the encryption if will make any difference? and also set just n mode?
Have you updated firmware with the *rst* or *all* file extension?

Set to just n mode and doubled my wifi speed.
