Vigor 2850n was created by digitus
Hi
Does anyone know if is possible to use a second Vigor 2850n as a repeater for Vigor 2850n? I.e. Have two of the same model, one receives ADSL and the other acting as a repeater?

Best regards,

Digitus

Over wireless? If so, that should work well, you can use WDS bridge on each of them: https://www.draytek.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=2646&Itemid=293&lang=en
You'd also need to turn off DHCP on the 2850 being used as a repeater so that it effectively works as an access point

Thanks for the reply, but the guide states how connect an AP800 to a Vigor 2850n, not how to make a Vigor 2850n an access point/repeater for another 2850n.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Just mirror the setup on both 2850 routers :) They would be configured exactly the same but with the MAC address of the other router. There are other guides on there that are router > router but the instructions seem a bit wrong (using WEP in 2015?)
