I'm working remotely. Any way to tell form the web interface whether I have a V1 or V2?

Not sure but can you deduce it from the current f/w version ?
i.e. if it's a version no. which doesn't exist on the V1/v2 ?

Check the firmware version, the AP-700 v1 had firmware versions 1.11 and 1.15, the v2 model had 1.02 > 1.08 firmware versions.
